Founded by mortgage visionaries
American Portfolio Mortgage Corporation was founded in 1993 by Paul Kessel and Scott Vorreyer — mortgage visionaries who still lead the company today. The company initially focused on buying and selling pools of mortgages in the secondary market.
In 2007, building on that secondary-market success, APMC expanded into seasoned-mortgage investments and launched a full-service retail origination platform. That platform originates agency, government, and investor portfolio loans on a multi-state basis through a growing team of professional loan officers and staff.

Paul and Scott envisioned a high-achieving team of real-estate and banking professionals — pooling their collective expertise. They drew on decades of industry experience, painstakingly assembling a formidable team of experts.
