Founded by mortgage visionaries
American Portfolio Mortgage Corporation (APMC) was founded in 1996 by Paul Kessel and Scott Vorreyer — mortgage visionaries who still lead the company today. The company initially focused on buying and selling pools of mortgages in the secondary market.
In 2007, building upon its success in the mortgage market, the company expanded its focus and began investing in seasoned mortgages. APMC also launched a full-service retail origination platform, which originated agency, government and investor portfolio loans on a multi-state basis, through a growing team of professional mortgage loan officers and staff.
